Shabbos Bulletin Parshas Vayikra (Zachor & Purim) 5779

If a person’s mind wanders during the reading of the Megilah, it is questionable if he is yotzei. The Poskim say that if the person could answer “what was read just now?” or, alternatively, if he would notice an obvious error in the reading, there is enough concentration there so that he is yotzei. It is recommended to keep one’s finger on the place when following the k’ri’ah.
