Tefilla Halacha

If one’s mind wandered during the first berachah of shemoneh essreiy:

• If the shem HaShem at the conclusion of the berachah was not said yet, go back to “elokeiy Avrohom…” and repeat from there.
• If his mind wandered for just a few words, repeat from the place where his mind began to wander.
• If he did say the shem haShem at the end of the berachah, repeat the berachah in one’s mind, concentrating on the meaning of the words, and also make sure to concentrate when saying the berachah of “modim”.
