It is praiseworthy to give tzedaka before davening, based on the passuk in Tehillim (17:15) “I will behold your face with righteousness.” Some have the minhag to give tzedaka  during “Vayevareich Dovid”, while saying the passuk “v’ha’osher vehkovod milefanechah….“
