Tefilla Halacha

If a person arrives late for minchah and the tzibbur is about to begin shemoneh esrei, he should join them immediately in shemoneh esrei. After Minchah, he should say ashrei as though he is reading pesukim in Tehillim, rather than with the intention of fulfilling an obligation.
