If someone forgot to count sefirah on Thursday night, and remembers after he was mekabel Shabbos on Friday, or a woman after hadlakas neiros, he or she can count then Friday’s count without a berachah. From then on, counting can be done with a berachah. This is true even if he/she remembers after davening “early maariv”!
The first half of Parshas Emor is about kedushas Kohanim. The second half is about the kedushah found all around every one of us, throughout our lives, embedded within time.
We are all “Kohanim”.
And our Beis HaMikdash is the Shul.
