Shabbos Bulletin Parshas Devarim, Tisha B’Av and Tefilla Halacha

  • Someone who forgets to say “nacheim” in the berachah of “v’liYerushalayim” at Minchah on the fast of Tisha B’Av, and remembers after concluding the berachah, should say it in the berachah of retzei, just before “v’sechezenah”, but should say the regular conclusion of the berachah of retzei.
  • When 9 B’Av is a Shabbos, there is absolutely no need to look for a kotton to drink the havdala wine Sunday night – anyone may do so, lechatchilah.
  • Remember that water may be drunk before hearing havdala. This is especially relevant to women who do not want to make their own havdala Sunday night.
  • Even a person not fasting should say “nacheim” in shemoneh essrei.

Any person who is bentching on Tisha B’Av should say “nacheim” before the words “u’venei Yerushalayim”.
