Shabbos Bulletin Parshas Ki Savo 5771

In the mizmor that we say twice a day, from Rosh Chodesh Elul until the seventh day of Sukkos, “l’Dovid, HaShem ori v’yish’i..” the main pause in the possuk (based on the ta’amim of Tehillim, which are not well-known) is after the first three words; NOT after the word libechah.

So it is—Have confidence in HaShem; strengthen yourself and He will give you courage, and (you will be able to) have confidence in HaShem.

In the aforementioned mizmor, Dovid Hamelech asks that he be zocheh to “dwell in the House of HaShem all the days of my life.” We should acknowledge our ability to do so by treating the Beis K’nesses-Beis Medrash with the respect due  the House of HaShem!
