Tefilla Halacha

Many people have the minhag to thank the cohanim after they bless the congregation (“yeyasher ko’ach” or “yeyasher kochachem”). Some question the practice of the cohanim responding to that “beruchim tiheyu,” as this might constitute adding to the blessings which the Torah told them to give.

They may, of course, say “Thank you!”
