Shabbos Bulletin Parshas Shoftim
What is vehu rachum by Ma’ariv all about? Why are we saying these 2 pesukim which are nowhere near each other in Tehillim?
The temidin atoned for our sins every day–but were only brought in the morning and afternoon. These pesukim request HaShem’s forgiveness, and His response to our tefillos, at night as well.
The back of the shul is supposed to be used only to enter and exit, or to get sefarim or siddurim/chumashim; not for davening (it bespeaks a lack of constancy, of stability, of being fixed as opposed to being random). Not to mention schmoozing!
