The Imrei Emes explains the community simchah at a bar-mitzvah (and especially BTYA’s participation in Yehudah Bryk’s bar-mitzvah!) as being due to another ben-chiyuvah “joining the pack”, sharing the “burden” of areivus where every Jew is responsible for all Jews (as in “R’ Naftali Bryks”). Thus, the entire K’llal is happy to welcome another areiv in our collective responsibility.
