If a person started saying “ya’aleh v’yavo” on a regular day:

  • If he did not yet say the phrase  “b’yom _______ hazeh”, he should stop immediately and continue with “vesechezena”.
  • If he did say that phrase, he should stop and go back to “retzei”.
