If one did not think the meaning of “baruch shem k’vod malchuso l’olom va’ed “ while saying it in k’ri’as sh’ma, the person must repeat it—BUT ONLY IF the person did NOT start the next passuk (v’ahavta…). If the person DID start the next passuk, then baruch shem… is NOT repeated.

Baruch shem… may the Name (the revelation) of HaShem’s glorious Kingdom be blessed (i.e, increased throughout the world) forever and ever.
